![]() ![]() They played OK on the stock, but are very clear with some power to them. Make sure to pay attention to your current sound so you can compare it against how the speakers sound after the amp installation. It's just a matter of finding a spot for the box and where to route the wires. With your Alpine installation, you won't have to worry about that. I had the portability of MY music, but then I had to turn it up to max for some songs that I really wanted. That's kinda what made me upgrade the HU. Your iPod can be controlled by iPod or dash, depending on the radio selection. Things like knowing which button to press for searching, etc. The controls are a little quirky but once you figure them out it's perfect. You're already upgrading once after a few weeks, who's to say you won't upgrade the stock HU eventually. I'd suggest splicing into the speaker wire instead of cutting it. I think I remember reading someplace that the colors are different in the doors anyway, so logging them from the door panels probably would not have gotten you want you wanted. I can't imaging that if there aer differences, the colors go some other place if the colors are the same. It's labeled for up to 2010 models, but confirm the colors are the same. This is the instruction from the GMRC module I installed for my new HU. He said most purchases are trucks due to limited installation space for full sized amps. I asked the installed at Best Buy about it a few weeks ago and he was impressed with that amp. It's a million times better than it was, but I STILL want more. I have the taste of blood in my mouth already from the HU upgrade. I'm seriously thinking of adding more power. I'll tell you but only if you tell me where you got the $75 Alpine from. ![]()
